"Good" to Good by Marsha

Maybe we need to examine our definition of "good." It was obviously good to go along nicely as so many of us did, racking up points at home and at school, but it was really good to wake up and realize that we had entered into a bad bargain, one that anesthetized any woman driven to spew forth her human spirit. I chose the phrase, "spew forth" on purpose since it has sexual connotations, and so much of the anesthetizing was about sexual impulses, even though they were only one component of the larger world of impulses that lead people to create, explore, question and express, in short, to be seen and heard.
